Christmas Blessings

I wish the Terrace Family the Blessings of the Christ Child in the coming weeks as we await the arrival and birth of His joy and hope in our hearts. I pray that this Christmas is a special time for each of you as individuals and as family and that we return to the Terrace Family in 2019 with a renewed peace and energy for the building up of God’s dream here within our community. I extend my personal thanks to all who have supported me this year within the Terrace Family and personal well wishes to all for a wonderful Christmas season and time with family and friends.

Staff News

We wish Mr Ken Hainstock well for his long service leave for Term 1 2019, and look forward to welcoming Mr Padraic Gannon back to the College to cover for Mr Hainstock.

Mrs Bronwyn Platz, who teaches in our Exceptional Learners Faculty, has resigned from the College for 2019. Mrs Platz and her husband Brad are moving to Tasmania and we wish them well for this new adventure. The College is presently recruiting for this role along with the previously advertised positions of Careers Counsellor and Health and Physical Education teacher.

We wish Mr Deen Mewburn, one of our Year 6 teaching staff the very best as he and his family prepare for the arrival of a new baby in the coming days. We hope this new baby, one of several born within the Terrace staff community in 2018, arrives safely and healthily.

After the students have finished, the staff also have the opportunity for farewell rituals and there is a strong tradition of doing this very well within our staff. As noted in recent months, next week we farewell and wish every success and continued health and happiness to Mrs Judy Ariotti, Mrs Julie Quinn, Mr Paul Ianniello, Mrs Bronwyn Platz, Mr Andrew Ebrington, Mrs Nicole Kirsch, Mrs Susie Cooper, Mr Gary Stickley and Mr Cam McConnell. In the new year, we look forward to welcoming, Mrs Therese McGregor, Mr Gavin Clements, Mr Patrick Barker, Mr Sonny Ali, Mrs Rachel Walsh, Mrs Belinda Brown and Mr Innes Harriman and three new appointees that we have yet to finalise. We look forward to a positive 2019 and thank the Terrace Family for their partnership and support of our staff throughout this year.
