Dear Parents,

Welcome back from the holiday break.  I trust that you and your families had some time to recharge the batteries. I begin this edition of the Terrace News with the sad news of the passing of Mrs Kristyn Thomas, mother of Harrison in Year 5.  Kristyn died suddenly over the holidays and her funeral was held on Tuesday.  Please keep the Thomas family in your thoughts and prayers.  

My thanks and congratulations to all staff, students, parents and Old Boys who were involved in a wide range of activities over the holidays including tours, camps and clinics.

Semester 1 reports were made available over the holidays and the next round of Parent/Teacher/Student interviews will occur in Weeks 3 and 4.  It is important that all students start Term 3 positively, both in and out of the classroom.  Homework and focus in class are key for successful results. I also ask parents to ensure that their son’s uniform and grooming are of the high standard expected of a Terrace Gentleman.  Blazers are still to be worn during this term.  Thank you for your support.

At the end of last term, the Art Union was drawn.  I thank the families who purchased tickets.  All funds raised go towards assisting the students in a range of activities.  Congratulations to the following winners – Maria Lane, Mark Bliss, Mark Duffy, Dominic Condon, Dom and Nikki White.

This weekend sees the first round of GPS Chess, Rugby and Basketball.  Terrace is again fielding large numbers of teams in all activities.  I spoke at College Assembly this week about how important it is to ‘play hard but fair’.  The Terrace teams continue to be competitive, however, it is very important that we continue to be known for our sportsmanship.  Terrace teams need to wear the complete uniform for their activity.  Wrong socks and shorts are not acceptable.  Players will not be permitted to compete unless they are in the correct uniforms.  The GPS Association has a code of conduct for spectators.  As the Terrace Family, it is very important that supporters model good behaviour on the sidelines.  Yelling at opposition players or officials are NOT examples of good Terrace behaviour.  Please assist by ensuring your support is positive and directed towards encouraging the Terrace players.  Good luck to all teams this weekend.

Finally this week, can I remind parents when driving around the streets near the College that we are mindful and considerate of both Terrace students and our neighbours and drive accordingly.   Please do not park across driveways and keep sensible speeds in the surrounding streets.  Thank you for your consideration.

Welcome back to Term 3. I extend my personal best wishes to the Terrace Family for a fruitful term, particularly to our Year 12 men who commence their final semester in the red and black. I trust the June/July break has been a good one for students and parents to have some rest, fun and quiet time. I can vouch for the staff both teaching and non-teaching that this time of rest and renewal is vital for doing our best and going the extra mile together at Terrace.

Staff news

A warm welcome back to Mrs Julie Quinn and Mrs Jan Cameron who both return from some leave this term. Thank you and well done to Mr Mason Hellyer, Mrs Judy Ariotti, Mr Rob Sweeper and Mr Devon Naeser who all had acting roles during this time. 

Welcome back also to Mr Peter Murdoch, a regular member of our relief staff who is with us for the next week and a half covering for Mr Damien Hanley who is in Ireland for a family wedding and to Mrs Susie Cooper who is joining the Waterford team this semester while Mrs Sian Graham is on maternity leave.

Welcome back also to Mrs Jo Caferra who has returned to Terrace to work in our Finance Department as the Fees Administrator.

Our prayers of support go to the families of Mr Grant Cioccarelli, Mr Peter Ernst and Mrs Suzanne Black who each had a parent pass away just prior to the break. We hope that the Terrace community has been a helpful and supportive network for them at this time.

Finally, a warm congratulations to Mr Paul Antenucci, our Head of Campus Ministry, who was engaged to his partner, Frauke over the holidays in her home country of Germany.

Welcome back to the new term to all our families. I return from long service leave and would like to thank Mr Mason Hellyer for filling in for me and to Mr Rob Sweeper and Mr Devon Naeser for covering extra duties. I do hope that the holidays provided a break for families from the regular school routine. This term is yet another busy time with our celebration of the academic achievements from Semester 1, Parent/Teacher/ Student interviews, subject selections for our current Year 10 cohort leading into Year 11, subject selection for our current Year 8 students leading into Year 9, possible selection for English Extension and Music Extension subjects for our current Year 11 students, Year 10 Immersion and our formal Queensland Core Skills test for our Senior students.

Assessment calendars

All students have been issued with an assessment calendar outlining the date of assessment issued and the due date. This is also available on Moodle, which parents can access.  They will also be available via the College App.  I strongly encourage all students to use the information on assessment calendars to construct a study plan. A study plan is imperative to ensure that adequate time is given to each of the demands of each subject studied. All students have been versed in how to construct a study plan.

Checklist

All learning required for this term for every year level and every subject is listed on the checklist on Moodle. Again I encourage all students to print the checklists relevant to them and use this as their revision guide. Students are often remiss in their allocation of time to revision for exams. Assignments are usually covered well by students due to scaffolding and drafting, but time given to revision is often neglected until the final week/s of the term.

Revision - how, when and why…

Often students are unsure of how to revise - the solution is very easy - follow and practise the checklist skills. The checklist should be used by students as if it was an exam. With pen and paper, students should work their way through the checklist, practising and then checking that their answers are correct. The checklist, outlining all the learning that is required for the exam, should not just be read over and knowledge assumed.  Revision should begin in Week 1 of each term. Much research, plus common sense, dictates that skills and knowledge practised become skills and knowledge mastered.

Homework and diaries

I often refer to the “three aspects” of mastery within a term.  Mastery of homework, assignments and revision. Homework needs to be completed each day and hours logged so students can refer to this log against the results achieved. Many thanks to all the parents who take the time to sign their son's diaries. Your support in this is most valued.

Pen and paper

Research continues to emphasise the need to use pen and paper to enhance memory and learning. Students need to complete their homework and revision, and where possible do assignments, using pen and paper rather than their computer. We continue to track and monitor the weekly use of BYOD at school and follow up with boys who have used their BYOD for purposes other than educational.

Tutorials and study group

Staff at Terrace are very generous with extra time given to offer tutorials. I encourage boys to use this very valuable resource. Times are listed on Moodle. Study Group for Year 12 students and Study Group for Year 11 students will continue to operate every afternoon from 3.15- 5.15 pm.

Start well

A strong start to the term will set students up and give confidence for a strong finish. Best wishes for the term ahead.

A warm welcome back to all families as we enter the second half of the year.  I trust that our students took the opportunity to rest and refresh over the holiday period.  Last week, I attended a conference hosted by the International Boys’ Schools Coalition, in which some clear themes came through.  With over 600 delegates from 13 countries, it was a significant professional development experience.  The first theme is no secret: mental health issues among adolescent males are at alarming levels.  Somewhere around one in every six young men will experience a mental health disorder, which can lead to more severe issues into adulthood.  Related to this was a second theme: good schools play an important role in assisting young men to stay physically and mentally healthy.  It was pleasing to be able to compare our practices at Terrace with those of a large number of schools from around the world and see that we measure up very favourably in pastoral care and formation.  We can never assume that we have all the answers, so hearing the practices of other schools gives an opportunity to enhance our offerings.  As always, I encourage parents to build a strong relationship with your son’s Tutor and House Dean and always feel welcome to make contact if you have questions or concerns about his journey.

Term 3 sees an enormous number of students involved in our co-curricular program, commencing with a huge week of Chess, Basketball and Rugby against BBC.  When young men compete fiercely and support passionately, there are times when emotions can get the better of them.  It is important that our boys represent the College well. This week we have spoken to all students about our expectations both on and off the field.  In particular:

• We ask that all students supporting at Chess, Basketball or Rugby at 1sts level are attired in their full College uniform, with a white shirt, regardless of their year level.  The Akubra is not required and the red Terrace cap may be worn instead.
• Students who have played previously are asked to change into their academic uniform, including white shirt, before the commencement of the 1sts match.
• Our support needs to be enthusiastic but sensible.  We ask that students direct all support towards Terrace players and not direct any comment towards referees, opposition players or supporters.

We ask our students to set the highest standard for personal presentation and support at co-curricular events.  We look forward to seeing a great show of support in a manner that makes the community proud.  To quote our Senior leaders, Term 3 is very much about all in our community standing Shoulder to Shoulder.  I look forward to a highly productive term.

The way we gather

It was totally unexpected to run out into sunlight that bathed open grasslands of the seemingly densely forested Bunya Mountains National Park. After catching my breath (my lack of fitness was not unexpected!) I soon learnt that such open pastures are biological mosaics that the Dalla Aboriginal people intentionally cared for. The sustainable existence of these microhabitats that, much like a patchwork quilt, are scattered throughout the Bunya Mountains National Park. Beyond this discovery was another unexpected discovery. These very same locations have been used by the Aboriginal people of wider South-East Queensland for over 50 000 years.

Although I have a prior understanding of the gatherings of the Bunya Mountains area, my knowledge has grown that ‘gathering’ was, is, and will always be, of great importance for Indigenous Australians, and indeed humankind. The concept of gathering to celebrate, to discern, to resolve differences is deeply human. Marriages, birthdays, court systems, parliament, demonstrations, meal times are all expressions of gathering in a modern western world context. Last week’s NAIDOC (National Aborigines and Islanders Observance Committee) Week saw Australians gather in numerous locations around the country to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. These gatherings focused on celebrating the essential role that Aboriginal and Torres Strait women have played - and continue to play - as active and significant role models at the community, local, state and national levels.

For more than 65 000 years, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women have carried dreaming stories, song lines, languages and knowledge that have kept Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture strong, and enriched the oldest continuing culture on the planet.  

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women have; marched, protested and spoken at demonstrations and national gatherings for the proper recognition of Indigenous rights and calling for national reform and justice, cared for their families while breaking down cultural and institutionalised barriers and gender stereotypes, committed to creating greater opportunities and - in many cases equal rights - for our children, our families and our people.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women have been, and continue to be, pioneers and trailblazers with ensuring that our nation’s Indigenous identity, culture and history is cherished and celebrated among all people of our nation. Their achievements, their voice, their unwavering passion give our nation strength and have empowered past generations and pave the way for generations to come.

Discovering an open patch of grassland amongst a dense forest has enlightened me to the timeless power of that ‘gathering’ has, is, and always will be, for humankind. Our nation’s First Peoples travelled for months to honour the tradition of gathering, reminding us that gathering in the right spirit is deeply human.

Welcome to Term 3 in what always proves to be a most enjoyable term for the Waterford community. 

After two terms the boys are now well and truly a part of the Waterford furniture and have displayed a number of very pleasing academic results throughout the first semester. Our challenge as a learning community is to maintain these standards. This term consists of six teaching weeks followed by exam week and then three weeks of the Immersion program. Due to the time limitations we have a reduced assignment load this term. However, teachers will be moving through the various units of work at a faster rate which presents a different set of challenges for the cohort. We have discussed this at length on assembly this week. 

Next Monday, a seminar from Mrs Lisa Maltman from the Sleep Connection will be presented to the cohort. All Year 10 students are currently completing a “sleep diary” this week to assist Mrs Maltman in her presentation on the importance of sound sleeping patterns. In addition, all Year 10 students are also working on completing their Senior Education and Training Plans. These forms needed to be signed by both the student and parents before being returned by the end of next week. This process will assist the boys in making an informed decision about subject selection for Year 11. 

The Subject Selection evening is being held on Monday 6 August in the Campbell Centre commencing at 6pm. 

Firstly, I would like to congratulate the students who participated in the University of Queensland/Queensland Association of Mathematics Teachers Problem Solving Competition. Yet again, our Middle Years' students produced some outstanding results across the Queensland schools. In Year 8 Adrian Jesuthasan, Dane Ball and Ryan Wong all tied for second place. In Year 9 Tyler O’Farrell placed second and Charlie Macuga placed third. Well done gentlemen.
 
Ms Lisa Maltman of The Sleep Connection will be a guest speaker for our Year 7 students next Wednesday. The issue of sleep for adolescents is in the news on an almost weekly basis. Technology has certainly proved to be a major cause of sleep deprivation in teenagers with this age of instant connection to their favourite games, television shows and movies, which is a vast challenge for adults.
 
Year 9 Roll Call will commence again this Friday from 7.50am in Room 5.4. I will facilitate this process of simply recalling what happened and what was learnt across the boys’ subjects for the week.
 
Our last three Houses are attending their Outdoor Education camps in Year 8, whilst Year 9s start their camps from Week 4.
 
The Years 7-9 Formation program commences with a student reflection of last term, leading to setting realistic but challenging goals for the term ahead, with strategies for how the students actually plan to do this. Students also form a weekly routine for homework and revision taking into account the time that they do not have for training, travel, dinner, etc. We also move into Parent/Student/Teacher interviews, which is another opportunity to seek feedback in order to continue to improve across specific subjects.

House Choir this year will be held at the Pat Rafter Arena at Tennyson. The food precinct will open at 5pm with doors to the stadium opening at 5.45pm for a 6.30pm show.  For further details regarding this event, an email will be sent to all families from Terrace Communications.

The old saying, “Many hands make light work” certainly rings true for this event.  We expect well over 3000 people in attendance and so ask for volunteers to assist with minor activities on the evening. 

To assist you in choosing when you will be able to help, please check the time your son/s will be performing.  For example – if he is in Buckley House, you will be able to choose a volunteer time anywhere between 6 and 7.30pm.  This will leave you plenty of time to move to your seat and watch your son.

Public Speaking

Finlay Prentis (Year 12) competed in the Final of the Plain English Speaking Competition during the holidays. The Competition consisted of a Prepared Speech, an Interview and an Impromptu Speech. Although Fin did not win, he represented the College in an exemplary manner. 

Will Ames (Year 7) placed second in Queensland ROSTRUM Voice of Youth competition. This was meritorious achievement for a Year 7 student competing against Years 8-10 students.

Welcome back to Term 3. During the first week of the holidays we held a number of day workshops for various ensembles. This was most valuable in preparing these groups for the term and it was most gratifying see high participation rates for all ensembles.

Term 3 is a big one for Terrace Music with all our ensembles participating at the Queensland Catholic Schools and Colleges Music Festival (QCMF) which takes place at Villanova College from Thursday 16 August through Sunday 19 August. This is our “grand final” event for music and as such, it is expected that these performances take priority. Please ensure that music is being practised at home and that rehearsals are attended regularly. Parent Lounge notifications and Event Memos have been posted so we would appreciate prompt responses to assist us in the logistical preparations for such a large event. At this point in time, we are still waiting for many families to go onto the Parent Lounge to accept/decline upcoming events. 

On Tuesday 7 August, some of our younger musicians will be representing Terrace at the GPS Music Day of Excellence (Years 5-7) which will take place at Nudgee College. Music has been distributed to teachers and students are encouraged to begin working on their music to ensure they get the most out of this day. It is always an exciting and inspiring experience for our younger players. Notifications for this event will be shortly sent out to all involved.

Thank you to our Fanfare team who played on College Assembly. Next week, the Red Thunder Drumline will perform at College Assembly. A Music Spirit Assembly will take place at the College on Thursday 16 August and will involve performances from our premier ensembles.

Welcome back to Term 3 activities of Basketball, Rugby and Track and Field.

This Saturday the College will travel to Brisbane Boys' College for Round 1 – Schedules are available on the College App and twitter.

At College Assembly on Tuesday, the school had the opportunity to congratulate those boys who attained 1st selection in their respective program. Congratulations to those boys, but also to all the young men in the College who have decided to represent the College.

At last count, there are 723 Rugby players and 390 Basketball players, that’s approximately 69% of the boys playing sport on the weekends. That is a great result and all boys need to be congratulated.

With such large numbers there is always a need for parents or Old Boys to step forward and assist wherever possible on Saturdays or during the week coaching. If you know of anyone who may be available – especially in Basketball, please contact the relevant director.  

Thank you to all the families and boys that attended the Basketball, Rugby and Track and Field trials, camps and clinics that were held over the holiday period. Large numbers attended all of these activities.

Selections

Selections can be an emotive issue for parents and students.  Please be assured that coaches select their players carefully.  If selectors get a team selection wrong be assured that the natural talent of the athlete will shine through in his performance and the coach will then select him.  

Supplementary games 

In a perfect world, all schools would all have the same number of teams and all boys would play at the same venue every weekend. In reality, that does not happen and every weekend there is a need for supplementary games to be identified and positioned so that boys can get a game. Rounds 1 and 2 are not that bad in regard to match ups in team numbers, Round 3 will be a challenge and boys and parents will find themselves being asked to play a school for a second time and/or being asked to travel to a different destination than other members of the community. 

I thank you in advance for your patience and understanding with this. The main focus is to  give the boys the opportunity to play.

I wish all the boys the best for this weekend - certainly the first three weeks will be challenging with BBC Round 1, followed by NC at Home in Round 2 and BSHS away in Round 3. Here’s hoping we can finish the first third of the season 3-0.

Basketball Wrap

Welcome back!

Welcome to the 2018 GPS Basketball season. The preseason has concluded and the beginning is here for one of the most exciting and highly anticipated GPS Basketball seasons in recent GT history. The season starts with a likely top four 1st V matchup against BBC, a game that could ultimately determine the outcome of the GPS standings.  The boys in red and black are set for a tough first round match.

Terrace Basketball is set for another record breaking year. With 390 players and 39 teams, the program has gone from strength to strength over the last 12 months. 

Help needed

Roles as team managers and canteen convenor are available. Team managers will oversee communication to parents and players and coordinating washing of team singlets and score bench roles. Our canteen convenor will oversee recruiting keen parents to help run our Campbell Centre canteen each week and plan out required supplies for games on the weekend. What were we you up to over the break? 

Terrace Basketball members were extremely active over the winter holiday break. Junior camps for Years 5-7 were run in the third week of the break, with former 1st V Coach and ex-Bullet Mr Luke Gribble, putting the College's youngest players through their paces. Hopefully the boy's hard work and dedication will lead to success during the season.

Coinciding with camps was the national EREA tournament where Terrace Basketball had teams representing in the Open and Under 15 age groups. Strong performances by both teams saw our Open Boys placing third in the nation and our Under 15 Boys taking out gold in an extremely exciting and nerve racking final sequence. Congratulations to both teams.

Terrace Basketball was extremely active in representative and state arenas over the past six months with over 20 players and seven coaches competing in Basketball Queensland’s State championships. Two players were selected in state squads and two coaches involved in annual tours to the USA. 

Good luck to all other sports and extracurricular activities in Round 1.

Rugby Wrap

The 2018 Terrace Rugby program is well underway and once again has a large number of boys wearing the red and black.  The program is once again committed to offering a safe and well-structured environment with the focus being on participation, enjoyment and the opportunity to learn. In doing so the program provides boys, coaches and referees with a strong framework for improvement and abundant opportunity to develop the key elements of rugby. 

Thanks to all staff, Old Boys and parents for their generous support over the holiday period. The 1st XV, 2nd XV and 16A teams travelled to Twin Waters for a four-day camp. The Under 15A squad travelled to the North Island of New Zealand experiencing all that the country has to offer on and off the field. The annual holiday clinics at Tennyson were once again a huge success with large numbers of boys in attendance. The holiday period was capped off with a round of games against NC.  The work over the holidays will lay a solid foundation for us to build from as we head into Term 3 Rugby.

Congratulations to Will Roach, Dan Condon and Glen Vaihu on their selection in the Queensland Schoolboys 1 Team and Will Kirk with his selection in Queensland 2. All boys travelled to Sydney to contest the National Schoolboys Championships. Will Roach was rewarded with selection in the Australian Schoolboys Squad for his outstanding performances.

Congratulations also to all boys who participated in the 2018 QJRU State Championships which were held at Albany Creek during the holidays. Terrace was well represented in all ages.

Representative Sport 

Terrace students are eligible to trial for selection into District and Met Nth Regional representative teams in a number of sports. Our primary students nominate via City Dist. and our secondary students via Nth Independent or in some cases Met Nth directly depending on the sport. Boys will only be nominated if they are of a high standard and meet qualifying times in respective sports.

The recent holidays were ordinary for some and extraordinary for others. On Saturday 23 June, far away in Thailand, Peerapat "Night" Sompiangjai turned 17 and his family had prepared a bright yellow SpongeBob SquarePants birthday cake and several colourfully wrapped presents at their home in a rural village in the Mae Sai district. But Night wasn't rushing home that day. He was out with his friends, the other members of local youth football team the Wild Boars, and their assistant coach. When their football practice ended, they raced through the rice paddies on their bicycles and up into the forested hills that lately had been blanketed in rain. Their destination: the Tham Luang cave, a favourite haunt for the boys, who loved exploring the nooks and crannies of the mountain range towering over Mae Sai. Once at the mouth of Tham Luang, they stashed their bikes, bags and boots, ready to celebrate Night's birthday. In high spirits, they clambered into the cave with just their torches. They didn't need much else - after all, they were only planning to be there for an hour. They would not emerge until two weeks later. Back at Night's home, his family began to worry, and the birthday cake sat untouched.

Where were the Wild Boars?

Aware they had visited the cave, the parents travelled straight there to discover their belongings outside. Immediately, the alarm was raised. The Wild Boars were in trouble, their exit route blocked by rising water levels from torrential rain. Forced to retreat further into the cave, they eventually found themselves marooned on a small rocky shelf about 4km from the cave entrance. Swallowed up by an unforgiving mountain and surrounded by darkness, the boys lost all sense of time. Fear, perhaps even terror, would no doubt have crept in.

Meanwhile, a full-blown rescue operation was quickly unfolding, and this was where the magic happened. On Thursday 28 June, the ‘cavalry’ arrived, with military personnel, cave divers and doctors from the US, UK, Belgium, Australia, Scandinavia, and many other countries. Over the next few days, they and the Thai Navy SEALs would fight a constant battle with the elements. On Monday 2 July, two British cave divers made an incredible discovery. John Volanthen and Rick Stanton had been braving Tham Luang's narrow, murky passageways for several days, searching for any sign of life. Surfacing in an air pocket, the light from John's torch illuminated an electrifying sight - the boys emerged from the darkness, coming down the ledge towards him.

The lost Wild Boars had been found, alive and well, a staggering ten days after entering the cave. The hardest part was yet to come, extraction. I was listening to a news story the other night, and those involved in the rescue operation believed there to be a 60 - 70% chance of success. In other words, several boys would likely die. Against all odds, the Thai led multinational effort was successful, and on Tuesday 10 July, the final two boys were removed safe and sound. 

Through this epic tale, we see Shoulder to Shoulder at its very core. The two British divers who stood Shoulder to Shoulder with the boys. The foreign groups who stood Shoulder to Shoulder with the Thai Navy SEALs. The countries who stood Shoulder to Shoulder with Thailand. Standing Shoulder to Shoulder with one another is the only way forward, the only way we will succeed. So, strive to support those around you; and this can be as simple as saying “g’day” to that person you may not be familiar with, buying a Kolega Coffee, having a genuine conversation with a struggling mate, watching our 1st  V and 1st  VX play at BBC this Saturday, and just in general, doing the little things. Shoulder to Shoulder, we are unstoppable.

Care and concern

Our thoughts are with the Thomas family during this very sad time. Kristyn Thomas, mother of Harrison in Year 5, passed away unexpectedly at the start of the school holidays. While her husband Pat and their three children, Harrison, Archer (Year 3) and Emma (four years old) have wonderful and loving support from their family and friends, the Terrace Family may be asked to assist the family at some time. We have offered assistance through our Care and Concern program and will be ready to send a call out to the College community indicating where that assistance can be provided when the family reaches out to us. In the meantime, keep the Thomas family close in your thoughts and prayers. 

Mothers’ retreat

On 6 August, the TLG have organised a wonderful morning for our mothers in the Pavilion at Tennyson as part of the annual Mothers’ Retreat. These retreats are traditionally focused on reflective programs like family/self help presentations and last year we had a relaxing morning of Tai Chi followed by a nourishing brunch by Kiss the Berry. 

This year, I am excited to invite you along for a morning of craft and precious time together. We are again excited to have our delicious brunch provided by Kiss the Berry after last year's amazing spread of fresh juices, fruit, cheeses and other amazing produce. More information will be emailed next week. 

Tennyson canteen

This term we are looking forward to a busy schedule of Rugby with some of the big games being hosted at Tennyson (Nudgee, Churchie and BGS). In conjunction with the Rugby Support Group, we are currently assessing the way the canteen and barbeque pit operate to see if there can be improvements made to enhance our customer service. Queue times, efficiency of food preparation and streamlined counter service are some of the aspects we are focusing on.

Of course, we rely heavily on our volunteer parents to assist in making game days the success they need to be and thank everyone for their ongoing support. To assist with your planning for this term’s Saturdays, we have created a roster with year levels nominated for particular weeks. I will put a reminder in the Terrace News for upcoming games and there will also be links sent out in the game day notice from the Sport Office.

Below is a list of dates coming up this term. It is going to be a busy one as far as TLG activities go. Please make a note of those relevant to you, especially the year levels we will be seeking assistance from for the various occasions. Also note that the Terralicious Fashion Parade is on in Week 8. There will be information circulated in the weeks leading up to the day with more information and we will be sure to give ample notice as to when tickets will be going on sale. We don’t have that date yet but will advise as soon as we know. As with all these types of TLG events, the Fashion Parade will sell out very quickly, so be sure to pay attention to information as it comes out.
